Protect Supply Management
Supply management plays a critical role in ensuring Canadians have access to reliable, safe, and high-quality chicken, eggs, and turkey.
Yet public understanding of the system and its benefits is often limited. To address this gap, Chicken Farmers of Ontario, Egg Farmers of Ontario and Turkey Farmers of Ontario launched Protect Supply Management, a consumer-facing campaign designed to build awareness and understanding of how supply management supports food quality, domestic production, and food security.
Isabel Dopta Consulting has guided the Protect Supply Management campaign from early development through to launch and in-market delivery, providing strategic communications leadership throughout.
The campaign is delivered as an integrated, omnichannel initiative, engaging consumers across digital platforms, paid media, social channels, content marketing, and partner amplification.
A core component of the project is research-driven insight. Isabel Dopta Consulting supports the use of research to understand baseline consumer perceptions of supply management, identify knowledge gaps, and test messaging. Ongoing measurement is built into the campaign to assess how communications are shifting awareness, understanding, and attitudes over time, ensuring the strategy remains responsive and evidence-based.
The campaign translates a complex agricultural and policy issue into clear, accessible, and consumer-relevant messaging. It focuses on the everyday benefits of supply management—consistent quality, food safety, and a stable domestic food supply—while reinforcing trust in Ontario and Canadian supply management farmers.
